I told FH that I wanted to stay in a hotel the night of our wedding and the night after since we are leaving for our HM on Monday. I thought it would be a nice way to start the HM early. He told me I am being silly and that we are just gonna need to get up early anyway so he doesn't see the point of staying Sunday night in the hotel.
Am I being crazy by wanting to do this?
ETA: he only wants to stay in the Hotel on our wedding night

I say if it's in the budget, do it. Why go to your boring house...? When you can be pampered... it'll be a chance to be just the two of you without all that 'real life' stuff creeping in on the day before your HM.

I don't see anything wrong with it, I think it would be cool actually but then I think that you might want to be home the night before you leave just to make sure you have all the last minute packing done

Stay at a hotel!! Stay at one with a nice pool and room service- so much more fun than going home!!

i think were just staying in a hotel the actual night of our wedding, and then coming home for a day or two, bc i feel as if it will give us a chance to see people again if even for a lil, and also to finish any last minute packing

I have the opposite opinion... I can see people anytime... my wedding and honeymoon are once in a lifetime opportunities, so we're going to make the most of them.

yeah actually I would need to pack too - i don't think i can have all my packing done before the wedding

I wouldn't unless you REALLY need to, I know I'd like to spend the night at home relaxing when I know I'm gonna be in a hotel for the next week, etc.

ITA. I would´ve done this but now it looks like we are going to have to go to our HM the day after the wedding. (if everything works out and we can go - fingers crossed!!!)
