We are getting married August 6th and so far here are our summer plans.. July 4th weekend visit my dad in Virginia for 3 nights The following weekend is my bachelorette party the weekend after that is FH bachelor party (a 4 night getaway to deleware with 28 guys)
FH just emailed me saying his friends are planning lake george for the weekend of July 24th and wants to be sure we are free.
Yes technically we have no plans for that weekend...but its 2 weekends before the wedding and as you see we have a jam packed 3 weeks prior. i dont understand how his friends are managing to go away two weekends in a row but maybe thats just me.
I wrote back saying no we cant go that weekend. and he hasnt responded yet...i think hes annoyed.
Am i crazy for saying i dont want to commit not only to a weekend away but its like a $500 weekend away right before the wedding?? should i just suck it up and go???

if even it wasn't for the money, i still wouldn't commit to going. You are going to be sooo busy the few weeks before the wedding.
Save yourself from the stress now, and pass. Your friends should definitely understand. Your FH? Tell him, he can be bummed now, but he'll be happier in the long run because imagine how crazy you'll get at the end of July. hahahaha

u're def not crazy. u have way too many things going on and the least u wanna do is being stress because u have to go here and there a couple of weeks before ur wedding, bring this up to ur FH, tell him u'd rather prefer relax during that week considering the wedding is around the corner and u wanna make sure eveything is ready for that day

I don't blame you at all! You're having an extremely busy few weeks prior to that plus you will be paying for a wedding shortly after that. I'd say I couldn't go - I hope your FH understands

no not at all. those last few weeks are crucial for you to make sure that everything is together. plus on top of that, you should be saving your $! good luck and i hope your FH isn't annoyed with you!

No you aren't,... this would stress me out money wise and mentally!! My summer is NUTSO soo, 3 weddings before mine... B-partys etc.. ahhh!
