Am I crazy for waiting this long...

To order a wedding gown?

I was planning to wait until february for november.
The women at Kleinfelds said if I go with Kenneth Pool, I should be ok....just wondering

It definitely depends on the designer. I don't know about Kenneth Pool, but I know Eve of Milady can take up to 10 months to come in. So I ordered mine just over a year in advance.

i dont think your crazy!!! your wedding is over a year away so i think you still have pleany of time! i think 9 months is good - unless you find the one earlier and wanna get it but i would say as long as you order by 9 months your good!!!

Well ,I am 90% sure, BUT wanted to wait for the fall 2010 line to come out. I tend to second guess everything.

I was told max would be 9 months prior, nothing less than that.

Depends on the designer. I just got mine from Kleinfelds last week. It's a Pnina Tornai & it takes about 12 months. I'm not sure about Kenneth Pool...I'd trust the saleswoman tho

My wedding is in JUNE and I still did not even start looking at the dresses. Well tried on few but not sure what I want. I think I need to order my dress soooooon

i think u have plenty of time!!!! the place where i'm ordering mine (BR in massapequa) said my dress would take 6- 9 months to come in, so i'm ordering it either this month or next month. imo u've got plenty of time, dont worry about it

You have plenty of time to order!! I would start trying things on soon though...things look SO different in person than they do in mags. I ended up w/ something very different than what I thought I wanted. HAVE FUN!

I just ordered my wedding gown this past Sunday and I'm next May. They told me it should be in by February/March. You should be fine- they often say you have to buy it now jsut to pressure you into buying.

This post is making me a little nervous. I´m gettign married in April and don´t have a dress yet!!!! They don´t have much to choose from here (ecaudor) and the nice stuff is twice as expensive as in the states. Plus they don´t have all the sizes for you to try on and to order it they want you to buy it!! (how can i buy something if i don´t know how it will look?!?!?!?!?)

So I will be buying my gown in November. Hopefully I like something that will come in in time!! Or maybe I´ll just have to buy whatever they have in stock. Do they have dresses in stock?
