are you sure your FMIL doesn't have a good reason for them not to bring dates? Maybe she knows their boyfriends are alcoholics and will cause trouble?

but if there's no good reason, they should def be invited with a guest.

you need to tell your FH that you and him need to start working as a team now and he needs to speak with his mom and tell her that it's not ok.

ultimately, if she's being a bum about this still, you can just invite them without a guest to stop the drama (i would def not want to pay for his cousins' dates out of my own pocket!)

ITA! Also, would you feel comfortable to speak with her directly instead of FH doing it? I know from experience that the 'middle man' is always the one who gets the brunt of things.

I don't know what to do... she has done so many things already to upset me and clearly I have already pissed off FH by commenting about it but seriously there is only so much I can take.

My parents have been going above and beyond and have given me literally everything I have asked for. They are already paying for so many people and my mom agrees with me I just feel bad that they are going to end up paying for these two guests because FILs won't do the right thing

Yes my parents told them they could invite 75 guest and if they went over they would have to pay for them, they are wayyyyy over
