i received an AOS from college and now i want to completely change my career from legal to either a Librarian (school or public) or to work with Barnes and Noble (community relations manager).
So I decided that i will go back to school at the end of May to start the summer classes. In order to do this and rather than take YEARS to complete my bachelors I have decided to go to school full time and quit my full time job in the city!
Thank GOD my father is paying for the reception and the rest is left up to my FH and I. I have the money for that aside so I am not worried about that.
Does anyone work or knows someone that works with Barnes and Noble and if they really do offer part time employees health insurance? Thats my major concern since i have serious back issues.
Everyone has told me so far that if im going to do this to do it now this way when i want to start my family i will be established somewhere. So honest opinions....AM I CRAZZYYYYYY????

lowes (I don't know if I spelled it right but the home improvement store) offers part time health insurance and I think if you work for home depot part time they even help pay for your tuition

I plan on doing the EXACT same thing. I plan on applying for CW Post Scool of Info Science to get my grad in Library Science.
I am currently in Accounting - which is the best profession to have right now - I'd have to take CPA, do my auditing and BAM - making money.
However, I would love to become a school librarian - even if it takes me twelve years to find a job. I love reading and love the way books have shaped me.
You're not crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do what you love!!!!!!! I don't know about BN offering ins for part-time... give a store a call, I'm sure an employee will tell you...

Starbucks offers part-time employees health insurance. when i worked there about 4 years ago i was only paying about $8 a week for it.
