Am I going crazy???????

OK, I feel weird even putting this post up....but I feel like I am losing my mind! Ever since I got engaged, I have been obsessed with something happening to me or to someone in my family (ie getting sick, dying). I keep having horrible thoughts that something is going to happen to me! I think it is because I can't believe how lucky I am. For example, I felt a pain in my abdomen and I am thinking, OK it must be cancer. I read an article about breast cancer and I'm like OK I feel a lump. Has anyone else felt like this!!!???? Please help!!!!

Yea, I think things like that too..
I honestly think it;s your nerves hon acting up on you. You said it started when you got engaged, so my theory might make sense.
Try to relax and take some deep breathes when you start feeling that way.
Go for a checkup if it will make you feel better.
I'm sure you are fine.

You're not going crazy at all. I feel the same way. Just worried about everyone being okay and healthy and all of that... it just gets magnified because you're worried about the wedding and everything being perfect. This morning 3 people were shot in the same office building, same floor that my fiance worked on just 6 months ago at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. He left the job in February because he wasn't happy - I'm kinda freaked out... thank goodness he left!!!

it might put your mind to ease to get wedding insurance...

my grandfather died 2 weeks before my wedding...so the family went from funeral one week...to wedding the next...at the funeral everyone was saying how the wedding will go on...but if he died any closer...I'm not sure what we would have done...

Girls, thank you so much for your help. I am feeling a lot better and a lot more in control!!! I always swore I was not going to be one of those brides that got out of control.....but it seems to not be the case! Thanks again!

This is not uncommon or crazy at ALL. Honestly after 9/11 many of us have feelings just like you do. Wedding insurance is one way to help you stop worrying about losing all your money, but it will not help you feel more secure about your loved ones.
I am not sure what will help since I also have the same fears and concerns. I think knowing that you cannot control the future and it is out of our hands helps a lot of people.
