am i greedy? registry question

am i greedy? registry question

so i have a pretty well rounded registry with things from all areas of the pricing spectrum but when it came to towels i WANTED Lacoste towels- theyre like $30 each for the bath sheet down to like $5 for a face cloth.

My mom called and was like 'Why do you have to pick the most expensive towels in the entire store???'

but i LOVE them and more importantly FH LOVES them. It was one thing he really wanted- weird right?

Is it asking to much for someone to buy a $30 towel??

* edit- bath sheet is actually around $40 and wash cloth is $11- lol

I don't think so, if i couldn't afford to buy you a bunch id buy one or two and a smaller item... people do`what they can... no worries

I would leave them, you like them! You can always pick them up after the wedding, I don't know if you registered for them at Macy's because they give you a percentage off, and a gift card 6 months after the wedding. Also people get what they can affoard. I think you are fine! Besides you have to have these for a bunch of years, you want to love them!

I don't think so. I wanted the Lenox towels because they were so soft, and the only reason I didn't put them on is because FH had a s-fit that they were too much money and no one would buy them.

Silly FH, no one is going to buy us our towels anyways

I don't think it's greedy to put those on your registry. Either people will buy them or they won't. You're not ordering anyone to choose them! And you deserve to splurge a little right now!

As long as you have all sorts of priced items on your registry, it's fine to have some luxury pieces! Enjoy & I hope you get them!

I don't think that's greedy at ALL. It's YOUR registry, you're not demanding that anyone buy certain items. It's a wish list. And if the towels are important to you and your FH then tell everyone else to zip it!

You just have to be okay if no one gets them for you... I know at my shower one person got me all my towels... now if they were that expensive, i know they prob wouldnt have done that... or would have had to chip in with someone else to get them... which means less gifts for you... All my towels came out to about $200...

Mine are not Lacoste, they are Hotel Collection and the cost the same amt. My wash clothes are $12 and body towels are $40.

No worries, we didn't even get the most expensive ones!

I feel that if people want to buy them, they will... if they don't, they don't have to!
That is what my outlook on registries are.

ITA.. You could register for $500 towels and not be greedy IMO.. As long as you have cheaper things on the registry for those who cannot spend a lot of money I think it is totally okay to have the nicer towels.
