Re: Am I in trouble??

No but get moving on your dress!!
BM dresses on average only take 12 weeks to come in.
And a florist you can honestly book at anytime.. they do so many weddings at once they wont turn you down

Re: Am I in trouble??

I don't think so at all. I'm in November and I do have my gown, but not my BM dresses yet. I am going shopping with my BMs for dresses beginning of December and I am waiting for a sample CP from Laurie after first week of December. No big rush, just start thinking about which vendors you would like to use, ask for some samples, and set up a day to go shopping with your girls. Don't stress, not a big deal. You're fine

Re: Am I in trouble??

Are you kidding? I just booked for 8/13/05 and I haven't even started yet! Although I had already LOOKED at a few dresses and think I've mentally picked one!

I don't think so. But go dress looking. As for bridesmaids I would say you could wait till Feb-March

Re: Am I in trouble??

I ordered my dress in March (7 months before wedding). We didn't order the BM dresses until May. And I didn't give my florist a deposit until 1 1/2 months before the wedding.
I would at least start getting an idea on the dress you would like for yourself and the girls - and then everything will fall into place.

Re: Am I in trouble??

You have PLENTY of time.. You practically have an enitre year!

I got my dress in August-- started looking in July..

Ordered my BM dresses in Oct-- started looking in Sept.

Booked my florist, photog, etc. all around the same time i booked my reception venue-- so, that was like in April/May..

I would really try to nail down all your major vendors.. then you can move onto to dresses, etc.

Re: Am I in trouble??

Not at all. My wedding's in May (189 days!) and I have not yet gotten my dress or BM's. So you're fine. I'm waiting until the last minute possible because I'm losing weight fast, but I agree with the above that as long as you do it 6-7 months before you're fine.

Best wishes...and yes, time does fly!

Sasha

My wedding is a week before yours and you've done much more than I have!! DOn't feel bad. I really have to get moving. We think we've picked the band. Just need to sign the contract and give the deposit. Next up is a photographer. I hope that doesn't take as long as the band did!

Re: Am I in trouble??

i would get moving onthe dress! Mine took 8 months to get in! SO you don't want to have a time issue...

And i would then do the florist...IMO they book up quick!

Re: Am I in trouble??

I think you are fine. You have at least two more months to order your dress unless you wanted something specially made or choose a designer(like Maggie) that take forever to ship. I am getting married in July and only ordered my dress in Oct. Its due in Feb.
