Hi, I dont post much, never feel I have anything valid to say so here goes.
Ive been reading a bunch and it seems you are all done with planning. I havent even started talking to limo vendors or looking at invites....
Am I in trouble?

do you have other stuff booked? If you are not doing it yourself you might want to get invite ideas and you still have plenty of time for limos

My FH and I did a lot in the beginning and now we are starting to pick up doing things again...I think that it comes in waves.

I am getting married the same day and I would tell you to get on it. There are a lot of weddings going on that weekend and vendors you would like may be spoken for.
Invites - You still have about a good 4 months until they have to go out. Dont know how long ordering takes because I am doing mine myself.
If you're getting married Jan 17th then you should start doing that stuff now...

January 17th is getting close. I would make sure you have: RH, photo/video, and DJ now. Then work on florist and limo next. Those are the biggest vendors. Because of your date, there are probably alot more vendors available. January is an off season for weddings.

Yea I agree with everyone else, as long as you have major vendors booked you are fine. I would def get on it if you don't. I am not going to book my limos for a while now prob less than a year away from the wedding because that is the one vendor that is on the whatever list haha. Everything else is pretty much booked. I haven't booked with a florist either but I will get to that at the one year mark.

I agree with the other girls: as long as you have your major vendors booked I think you're fine. However, January will be here before you know it, so over the summer probably wouldn't be a bad time to start getting all of the little things.

I think you are fine as long as its only limos and invites that you have not booked. A friend of mine has her wedding this JUly and she is JUST starting limos (she waiting until last minute for whatever reason) and she isnt really having a problem. Invites I might get a move on now to get an idea of what you want so that you have plenty of time for them to arrive and can send them out 2 months before.

i agree with everyone. if it only limos u can wait but not that long. invites i would get a move on, im getting married in feb and i already have mine in my house.

If your major vendors are booked, you're okay with limos, especially with your date. You have some flexibility.

This board makes me anxious too because I thought I was ahead of the game, but apparently I've very behind! However, friends who have gotten married recently are telling me I'm on track. I mean, people plan weddings in less than a year, right?! I have band, photog, RH, ceremony, and dress all set, havent' even THOUGHT ABOUT anything else! Sorry, this was more of a camraderie opportunity than helpful information!

my co-worker has the same date as you and she is done with everything. But she is a super planner. However you do only have 7 moths I would jump on the things you haven't done yet. no need to panic though if you get on it now you should be done in time.

No need to panic or anything...If I were you I would try to get a move on it and start looking/ordering my invites, start getting an idea of what limo's you want...There are only several months left and for peace of mind, try to start getting more stuff done.

not at all.....FH and I only have our RH actually booked....our wedding is only two months after urs lol.....as long as you basically have the 'big picture' in you head you are fine! it just mite get alil harder to start booking vendors bc it is getting closer and they book pretty fast!

what other vendors do you have booked? if you just have limos and invites then you are fine but i would start looking into invites.

same here! 2 months after you and only RH booked. are you actively looking @ the major vendors though? do you have your dress?

I personally think that while it IS good to book things relatively early and figure out what you want...You will drive yourself NUTS if you try to keep up with other people. I mean, spread things out so you have time to continue enjoying the engagement/planning...I personally do not want to be someone with everything booked and nothing to do for over a year, KWIM?
