Am I mean??? UPDATED...
So FH has this nasty little habit... he dips (tobacco). Don't even get me started. But anyway, he was just going to bed and he dumped the bottle of gunk out in the toilet, and then i hear him drop the uncapped bottle onto the bathroom counter. So I yell in 'babe, that doesn't belong in there, put it in the kitchen with the recyclables.'
Of course, he walks out without the bottle. So I say it again. He goes 'don't bust my ***, come on' and crawls into bed. So I go in, get the bottle myself, put it away, then go back in, take his tin of tobacco - at this point he picks his head up off the pillow... 'um, what are you doing with that?' And I proceed to dump it into the garbage.
Justified???
So I sent him this email last night bc I felt bad but still wanted to get my point across. He left for work at 6am so I knew I wouldn't see him until 7:30 tonight, and if he woke up mad, i didn't want him to stew all day:
me:
i put $4 in your wallet - i didn't have 5. I hope you saw the point behind that - it doesn't matter how many times I ask you to clean up after yourself, you rarely ever do - and sorry but tobacco spit is just nasty and it doesn't belong in our bathroom. it makes me feel like i live in a college dorm. Regardless, it was wrong of me to dump your tin out - I frustrated bc nothing gets through to you about how much time i spend cleaning and how little of that time I can actually afford to spend cleaning. Please be more mindful - I don't want to be like that. Deal??
FH's reply:
I don't know what sort of 'deal' I am agreeing to.
I will try to be more mindful of cleanliness, especially with dip.
What frustrates me is the 'I will try' part - don't 'try' just do it!!!
