Am I on the right or the left? Edited

If I am looking at the sweetheart table in front of me- does the bride sit on the right or left?

edit: Thank you all...can you believe how silly something like this can be?

I want to sit on the right of FH bc that's what I want. I will have my nieces and nephews there and the right side is closest to the door. The water is right there and I want to kind of try to keep an eye out.

Think anyone would notice if I switched it?

if you are Catholic - when you are in church the bride (when looking at the altar) is on the left. So maybe on the left then?

Thank you Meaghan but I wanted to know about the sweetheart table bc if I sit on the left then so does my family. It's mostly for table seating at the reception.

i would say left then. my hall doest have 'sides' so its easy for us- when my sister was married, when looking at her table she was on the left and so was our family then.

but I dont think there is a rule.

If you are facing the table I was on the right. Why don't you call your hall..they may have a 'side' for you

I don't think there are 'rules' about which side is which for the table, but every wedding I can possibly remember being in, going to or even viewing pictures, the bride has always been on the left of the table when looking directly at the table.

At Flowerfield the brides family sits on the right side if you are looking toward the sweetheart table...which make me assume that I am also sitting on the right. Maybe it is different between halls???
