Am I overreacting?

My dress came in and I went to the store today to see it and try it on again. I was happy to see it when the lady brought it to me, that this was MY dress, and not just some sample I was trying on. I put it on, and of course couldn't zip the silly thing, so I came outside and asked my mom for help. She tried zipping me, and she couldn't, and whispered 'I think it's too small'.....she called the saleslady over for help. She squeezed me into it, but it still didn't zip all the way up. She got the owner over, and she said she could definitely let it out a bit where it was too small. My mom then told her we wanted to look at some veils (I HATE veils), and we found one that I kinda liked.

Everyone was fawning over me, saying I looked like a grecian goddess and a barbie doll. I should be happy, I guess, but right now, I'm just really down about the dress not fitting and being too tight.

Right now I keep thinking of Carrie in that episode of Sex and the City when she and Miranda tried on the awful wedding dresses and she had the panic attack.

Aww, that's frustrating. I don't think you're overreacting. This is YOUR DRESS... and it's a VERY personal experience....

Are you dieting? Did you order a size smaller than what you were measured at?

Don't freak out. You still have time.........

By the way, I ordered my veil the same day I ordered my dress... I only tried on three and I don't even really know what it looks like anymore......... Don't worry about that part. I felt silly too.... What length veil did you end up with? Did you order it?

I'm not really dieting...I'm a street size four, and the store owner told me not to loose anymore weight. I am going to the gym and beginning to incorporate some weight training for toning...I guess I need to do a bit more of that now.

I also tried three on, and honestly, I wanted to rip them all off. I felt just so silly....everyone there fawning over me in a silly veil. I did order it, it is diamond white, one tier, with little rhinestones on the edge. It went down to my elbow I think.

I totally can understand how you feel. Try to shake it off though. On your day know one will know anything about what it took to make the dress look the way it will.
