My photgrapher is located in Upstate NY. We decided to use him because we know people that used him and love his work. I sent him a save the date deposit but we havent formally met with him yet.He was supposed to call and set up a time to meet us or do our e-pics next time he was in LI. This friday, me and FH were out to dinner and I get a txt from my FSIL saying she is going out to dinner with our photographer! I was like what the heck!? He was supposed to contact us next time he was here. FSIL and FBIL stated hes here for business and next time he is here for pleasure he will call you. I am business! I am paying this man! I am not sure I want to use this photographer now. FSIL and FBIL are mad at me but i didnt know that they were friends with him. I feel it is a conflict of interest and now I am not going to get the same treatment as other brides because he is friends with them. What should I do?

It could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the way you look at it. If they're friends with him, he may be willing to throw in some things that another photographer may not. On the other hand, it may feel a little more casual at times which can be stressful (and who needs added stress!). If I were you I would call him and speak to him directly. Emails can be a little informal and feel a little less urgent.... I would call and try to work out a specific meeting date before giving him the boot, if you like his work.

thanks that is what FH said too. Im am not happy how my FSIL and FBIL acted. But i know we cant control others actions!
