I don't think you are overreacting at all! Who cares how good they are if dealing with them is going to be miserable! Not worth it....too much stress during planning without adding unecessary stress to your load! I haven't looked at florist's yet...but i also have heard great things about laurie from la blossom and on planning on checking her out! Good luck!

Holy Crap!! I just called another florist and she gave me an even worse attitude. I guess their sh!t does smell like roses!! Does anyone have a nice florist I can call and just make an appointment?!

I highly recommend Pedestals - they were a pleasure to work with. I had a very narrow window of when I could meet with them (coming from OOT), and they rearranged their schedule to accomodate me.

I love Joe at Pedestals, he's very creative and sweet, he gets you so excited about your flowers!

I really cant understand peoples attitudes! Its not like we are calling the 99 cent store... we are calling to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars. I wish I could blow that kind of money off.

Give LA Blossom a try. Lauries is really good at getting back to you and her prices are competative.

Listen, the Mother's Day thing is no excuse. I started looking for florists around Valentine's Day and all of them politely explained to me that they were very busy and would have to schedule me for the week after the holiday. I didn't get attitude from anyone I called. BTW, that controversial florist wasn't on my list so I never bothered calling there.

See, now that's appropriate!! Would it have really hurt them to make an appointment after mothers day? Its not like Im asking to come in on sunday. I'll try Pedestals. I also called Burtons, but again it was about their schedule, not mine.

I am sorry, but I have said this before and I will say it again ...vendors are in the business of servicing US and if they dont give us their all 100% of the time, then move on...

I have very little tolerance for annoying vendors

As tempted as I am to call Brianor for that matter Michele, I know I cant afford him.
Plus Im kind of hesitant to call since I only need bouquets and boutineers - no centerpieces.

Very rude!!!

Who are you kidding though...YOU ARE NOT OVERREACTING AT ALL!!!!!!!

I wish I wasn't such a punk!!! I let them all get away with everything. They could tell me 'Rules are you're not allowed to ask any questions' I'd probably say 'OK, sorry for bothering you!!!

Icalled a florsit last week- i was originally going to call right befor eeaster but thought that was bad timing & kinda expected them to be rude, so I waited & tehn when I did call, I didn't realize it was so close to Mother's day, but they were nic e& said I coudl come in that saturday or the 15th. Untill she pinted that out, I forgot about Mother's day.

I'm sure they are all realy busy right now & wrapped up in their work so they don't even realize that its not obvious to other people that this is a busy time for them. Still no excuse to be rude, but I dknwo i do it a work sometimes.

That being said, I've had to elimnate some vendors from consideration, b/c they didn't get back to me soon enough, but I am in more of a time crunch.

I'd suggest waiting untill next week to call. Do you have your BM dreses yet? If you don't they may not be able to give you an idea of price range, unless you know what you want regardless of the dress.

I used the Milleridge Florist. I know you were looking for cala lillies...that's what I used. A pic of my flowers is in my profile. They were great, and I think pretty reasonable.

My fathers girlfriend is a florist but I a not sure I want her to do my flowers.
I heard good things about Pedestals.
I think we are going to call Georgewood Florist in Bayside. A friend of ours used to have a flower shop in the city and highly recommends them.
Also, we use Georgewood everytime friends of ours have a baby- they do awesome arrangements.

I wouldn't even consider a vendor who was rude to me on the phone or late for an appt. Imagine the trouble they could give you for the wedding.

Anyway I recommend Pedestals. Joe is great and they have beautiful arrangements, very high quality.

Could someone FM me the rude florist? I would definitely like to avoid that.
