Am I pms-ing or...

Or is the board just getting more negative lately? I feel like people are more willing to insult each other or each other's choices lately. Am I just pms-ing and it's bothering me more than normal, or is it really the case ?

Don't get me wrong, I love this board! I do think people should be able to disagree, but I feel like sensitivity to others is going out the window. Maybe it's b/c it's been so gloomy the last week

I was starting to notice that too... I thought it was just me.

Maybe it's because the fewer days we have left the more sensitive we get! Or maybe everyones really cranky!

Once in a while that comes out..I have seen this a few times. I am not condoning I just want to say it has happened a few times on this board.

It's bound to happen every now and then, with this many women at one place!!! But this is nothing, have you seen the knot??? Rude and obnoxious!! (especially on Planning & Etiquette)

I think it's bound to happen. There are so many of us and we are never going to agree on everything. And its been said a million times that if you ask for an opinion, be prepared to get different ones. But there's usually a nicer way to put things.

I think because people feel they are anonymous they don't have to hold back... it's inconsiderate no matter how you look at it! Can't we all just get along?

I think we all need a healthy dose of sunshine and we haven't been getting it so we are all depressed, thus defensive and offensive. We need a nice summer weekend...SOON! I think that will change our attitudes

some people just don't have tact or respect other peoples feelings... its just the way some people are. Just don't let the negativity get to you.

and rain every weekend isn't helping!!!! it better not be like that all summer!!!! i miss spring!

Sometimes there are heated posts. That is something we all have to live with around here. Some of us are polar opposites in our opinions and the way we express them. It is very simple to ignore something that you consider to be rude or out of line.

But please try to refrain from prolonging the drama by starting a new thread like this. You didn't name names, july, but obviously you were quoting a post from Marcella. I bet that if I click back to the BHB I will see the post that this stems from. Creating another drama thread is not the answer.

If you have a problem with someone, it is better for the entire community if you deal with it off the boards.

I've gotten at least 4 fm's from girls who feel the same way I do, some of whom are thinking of leaving the board altogether and all fm'd b/c they said they worried that they'd get jumped on next. I think it's a shame that people choose to be rude to others here, this is not a 'personal' board, its where a lot of people should be able to get together and get advice. I've been here for a while, and I do think that these type of posts are becoming more prevalant than they were a few months ago. Maybe it's the weather.

I think sometimes instead of people stating their opinions - WHICH EVERYONE is entitlted to - sometimes it becomes an attack.

THIS IS NOT DIRECTED AT ANYONE- I know sometimes I find when I write something I direct it at someone so I know I'm guilty - but I think we need all need to learn how to just state our opinion and not personalize it or direct it at anyone. That way we can all say what we feel and not hurt anyone or offend anyone.
