there are 7 and 1/2 weeks til my wedding.... and i do not have a florist yet. am i totally screwed or what????? we are doing our own CP's, but we need bouquets, bout's, arrangements for the church, AAAAAHHHHHHH!
i cannot procrastinate any longer... and it is making my head spin.
someone PLEASE tell me i can still get these with no problem.....

My FH's godfather is a florist in the Bronx, and he will be doing our flowers. He's a really nice guy and has great selection of flowers, and would probably be able to help you. FM me if you're interested.

You can!!! My wedding is sooner and I haven't officially booked a florist yet either! Actually, I plan to this week, I met with a few last friday. My feeling is:
1) you are getting married in an off-season, so there are more florists available
2) You can ask for a lower price b/c, since it is an off season, they want your $$$$. And your wedding is soon, but its not like its next week, so you are not TOO desperate.
3) Florists can do more than one wedding at a time, so they should have more availability than, say, a photographer.
I procrastinated flowers b/c I resent spending so much $$$ on them!

That might not be so bad. I'm using a local florist and she didn't show me my finished samples until a couple of weeks ago (6-7 weeks before my wedding maybe?) because the seasonal winter items weren't available until then, so it sounds doable I would think. You may have an easier time because you are not getting married in a prime wedding month. I'm using The Perfect Rose in East Islip and am VERY happy so far. I almost went with silk, too, I've seen some very nice ones! Also, a local florist will probably be cheaper than one of the big popular wedding florists, yet still give you a great final product.

i book only a little while ago because at first i wasnt going to be doing flowers and changed my mind..im going with a smalllocal florist to my reception all..and i am getting 8 BoKs for only $200
but be careful when you get prices..its still valentines prices our weekend

you can even get bulk flowers for DIY from costco...don't worry...there is always a solution.
