Not at all when I first came on it felt like a totally different language ![]()
If you want to move up a post you can reply and type bump. There is an icon called chat lingo in the green menu bar that tells you what everything means.

That much I get but I never see the post that is being bumped...is it that only the person requesting the info can see it?

After a year, I just figured it out this morning! No your not slow, the chat lingo on this site just takes some time getting used to!

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question correctly...but if someone is interested in some information that was in another thread, then someone might go into that other thread and type 'bump' (stands for Bump Up My Post, i think) and then that post is pushed to the top of the list so that OP can find it.

when i see an older post that i want to bump up to the top, i can reply to that post (usually, i'll just say 'bump') and teh older post will now show up at the top of the list (since it's sorted by date of last response).

your not slow! for one i didnt know what TWOTY was for like weeks and 2 i was google-ing all the lingo i saw and writing it down ... i didn't know there was a list already on here...
