My FBIL got engaged a few months after FH and I. Am I supposed to invite his fiance's parents to our wedding? She and I are NOT friendly, she's not even in my bridal party. I don't think I should invite them, they're not going to be my family or anything, but a friend of mine thinks it's the right thing to do. What do you girls think?

Re: Am I supposed to?
My brother has been married for like 6 years, I am not friendly with my sister in law and I am not inviting her parents to mine... they totally did not expect to be either.

Not necessary but you can if you like - it is a nice gesture. I invited my SIL's parents to my wedding because my parents are friendly with her parents. But I also put my SIL in the wedding party. My brother had also invited my DH's (who was my FI at time of his wedding) parents to his wedding and my parents and in-laws are not very friendly with each other. To us it was the right thing to do.

Re: Am I supposed to?
We only invited the parents of FSIL (she is my MOH) because they were there when we got engaged at Disney. So only because we are quasi social with them (we've vacactioned with them a couple of times).

no b/c it is not like they are your in laws. plus you say you are not close to his fiancee, so why bother.
