I feel like I should. But do I have to? FH's family is only paying for the rehearsal dinner but its not about the money. I just feel like I want to but then do I get my father-in-law a gift too?

It's usually customary to give the parents gifts. It should come from you and your FH.

you dont have to spend a fortune if you dont want give her a token gift like a hankie with thank you for having the man of my dreams on it. my mil loved that lol. you can also give them a nice picture frame or a good bottle of wine. your father in law a if he is a smoker ciger holder with a few cigars or a cigar cutter or lighter. if he doesnt smoke maybe tickets to a baseball game or a wallet

I'm buying FMIL a hankie that says 'Thank you for rasing your son to be the man of my dreams'....corny I know but I think it's an inexpensive way to thank her....it was about $20 dollars.

MY FILs are getting a DVD of the wedding, a parent album and these. I also wrote a poem for both parents and scanned a baby pic of each of us and put it on the cover (see pic 2).
On top of getting them: DVD, parent album, 8X10 pic & frame, hankies
my FMIL gets: a frame w/pix of FH growing up and a poem saying thank & how she raised a little boy and gave to me a man etc.... I can't remember the whole poem, but I can post it for you later if you want.

My future parents-in-law are only paying for the rehearsal dinner as well. We are getting them a parent book and that is probably it.
