I'm getting so frustrated. I have a top 3, but I don't know which one to pick. I feel like I cant plan anything else until I have my hall.
Anyways, they are the Marina del Rey, the VIP Country Club, and the Westmount Country Club. I love all of them for different reasons. They are all comparable in price. I'm getting really anxious about this.

We're going to wait until after the holidays to look at more halls because its just too hectic right now, and FH is waiting to hear back from a job, so hopefully we'll know where we are financially a little better in a few weeks,
So far we've looked at:
Floral Terrace - absolutely BEAUTIFUL, amazing BM he was so sweet and spent so much time with us. My cousins wedding was here and the food was soooooo good..so thats why I went to look there. If it had an ocean-view I would have booked already! Another thing I really love about this place was the raised dance floor..its truly a BEAUTIFUL place!
Louis XVI - my heart was set on this place from the second I saw pictures..its EXACTLY what I dreamed my wedding would look like..oceanview, big white rounded windows, chandeliers..its just so romantic...however, they are french cuisine and I know my family won't like that. When I met with the BM he was nice, and said they would customize the menu, but I spoke to two other people who have been to weddings there and neither were thrilled with the food..so now I am a little leary, especially because my wedding will be full of italians and puerto ricans who all love their food and are looking for a huge cocktail hour..I am kinda disappointed becauase this place seriously is gorgeous
Giorgios - VERY pretty, very sweet family owned staff...but the ocean is in the distance and you can't see it from the reception room, otherwise everything else is perfect for me...and I've heard nothing but GREAT things about their food, especially their cocktail hour...GRRZZ why must I love the ocean so much?!? hehe
Venetian Yatch Club - again a very nice BM, very pretty view...but I didn't get that 'feeing'...sometimes I'd like to go back and look again because there was a wedding going on and I only got a little peek of the main room..I can't wait til the wedding of the year to get an extra look at this place!
Chataeu La Mer - Same thing happened here, there was a wedding going on and i didn't get to see the full view of the room..it was pretty from what I remember..I do NOT like the upstairs room..it felt too small to me...so I wouldn't recommend it for small weddings.. but of course that is JUST my opinion..I hope noone gets offended..
The only time I got 'that feeling' was when I went to Louis XVI, but I am too leary to book because of the food..so I am still searching.. I plan on seeing the Surf Club, a few other New Rochelle places and Lombardis on the Sound soon after the holidays..
Hope some of this info helped anyone who is still looking..

dont know much about VIP, Marina Del Rey is nice, i was looking into them for my wedding also, but their price was more then i wanted to spend, and westmount country club, is that in NJ? my cousin got married there a few years back...really really nice...loved the CH hour
ETA: if i had to chose, i would say westmount, its a lot prettyier inside then Marina Del Rey, not sure about their prices because i never looked into it since its in NJ. and its one of the many weddings ive been to that i actually remember the CH hour being greatttt and the v-hour

I live abt 10 blocks away from Marina...the view is really nice and the food is good....the staff used to be 'ehhhh' but I heard they changed managers a couple of years ago so maybe they got better?
VIP went there a couple of years ago....the people there are VERY nice and the rroms are nice but the view is better at Marina IMO.
So it all depends on what you want.
Oh and I don't have any info on that last one u had.

For those who havnt booked yet, you should really start to try to narrow it down. things get so booked up and its not to early...i booked my hall in november 2006 for june 2008 I wanted to beat the christmas rush...so many girls get engaged between christmas and valentines day and things will be booked up by march of 08

I went to a wedding at the Westmount Country Club this past fall and it was beautiful!! I don't know anything about your other choices though!!

i'm with you on that one!!! i only looked at 3 places... and that's it... i'm upset....
i only went to 1 and knew right away... so you dont have to go to 20 diff places to decide and KNOW for sure!
I DID book, but due to finanancial difficulties we cancelled...but I am planning something else. I'm not going to look till January some time.

08er Crashing!!!!! FSIL got married at Marina Del Rey....she was actually the FIRST Bride after they did the renovations. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I havn't heard too much about VIP but I do know Wesmount is another AMAZING hall......they are in two different locations so i would almost base my decision on that.
