My wedding is costing $16,000! That includes a Saturday night sit down dinner, a photographer, video person, a 5 pcs band. a limo. Oh and it includes a week in Jamaica at the Beaches royal Plantation! This was for 100 people. So yes it is very, very possible!!!

Do you have to have a sit-down dinner on a Saturday night? A cocktail reception is a great idea - and so is a Sunday brunch or the Wednesday before Thanksgiving...You can also check out boats (I know a bunch of beautiful party boats launch from Freeport LI)

I agree that the backyard tent idea can get VERY expensive... plus the threat of rain would stress me out too much.

Tak your time, I'm sure you'll find something just right.

Oh yeah the backyard can be so expensive. You say you have a large crowd too. You have to rent everything tables, silverware, portals just a few things I mention. We looked into it and it was just going to be too much headache and not much less
in cost at all.

You may also want to check out George Washington Manor in Roslyn - my friend was married there and they were pretty reasonable.

Also, North Ritz Club

Can you be flexible on day of the week/time of year? A Friday or or Sunday will me cheaper - also November to April is cheaper. Let the place know that you are on a budget - many will be able to work with you - Good Luck!

We're trying to be flexible. My FH wanted sat- but we agreed if fri was cheaper we'd do that. And for time of year- I initially wanted june but we went back to april. So we're trying not to be too particular. I think we've knocked out the backyard thing. It would cost just about the same with 10 times the hassle. We're going to look at Jericho Terrace and Land's end this week. Hopefully we'll get something soon. My FH wants to get this part over with asap. Thanks for all your help.
