That feels she has made some real friends on this board? friends that I can not wait to actaually meet in person and stay in touch with?

I agree! Everyone here is so helpful it would be great to see who we all are! I'm hoping to be able to go to the get together. See everyone there! By then I'll be a married woman!

I have made many real friends but the one that I KNOW that I will always stay friends with is marnless (Marni). She has become a true friend of mine that I will never lose touch with! Our kids are gonna be internet junkies together..isnt that right Marnissa?????????

I visit quite a few boards and I have met so many lovely ladies in person...we have even done get togethers where it was for an entire weekend away. We are now in the process of planning a get together for next year to Vegas!!! I have invited a few ladies that I have met on the boards to my wedding and I have been invited to their weddings as well. There is indeed a bond which cannot be explained.

One girl sent me a comfort sandal to wear if my feet got tired at my wedding

One other girl sent me a broom to jump at my wedding

One girl did all our cd favors....the list goes on, I have been blessed to meet so many wonderful ladies on these boards

I met Lizlen on UW and we became fast friends, when it was time to do my invites she gladly came over to help me stuff, she is now a part of my family.

I met Judybee in RK bridal and she invited me to her wedding after party and now we are buddies.

It is so nice to know you can meet nice people on the net.

yup, My fiance laughs because we are moving to florida and I found a message board for military spouses in that area and some of the girls have checked out apartments for us and mailed me pictures, while he has actual buddies down there that can't even drive past a place to tell us if it is safe or not..
Same with me are moving right before halloween and all sad we will have nothing to do, plus it's my mom's bday and I will be bummed not to be there for her.. and I keep joking that I'll be invited to one of my internet friends parties.. lol

I've been kinda playing on this board, but not as much as you other girls but anyone can feel free to come to the mass friday.. or heck, were paying for imaginary people at the reception.. anyone want a night of great food, free drinks and dancing.. lol

Sometimes I am so embarrassed to tell where I met some of my internet buddies b/c people really do think I am crazy. My hubby was so against it at first but now that he has met some of them he has relaxed a bit

Without the boards I would have never met SonicStef or Cindy (Claud2001 and I were already friends from a few years ago). And they are not just 'Internet' friends. I consider them my 'real' friends. I care a lot about many of the girls on the boards. I have met Erica, Teri, Vicki and other girls at some of our UW gatherings. We all support one other and listen. I don't think it is crazy at all. And none of my other friends think it is crazy- they think it is nice that I have made new friends.

Being fairly new to the boards....I love it. I was a Knottie!!! Their was alot of mudslinging on that site. I actually found out about LIweddings from a couple that I began talking to in a craft store!!
It's nice to hear that so many of you have made 'real' friends from chatting here.
I enjoy reading all the advice and suggestions that you all have.
I look forward to reading new things everyday. I hope that I will be able to meet you all at the gathering that is being planned.
