I'm scared that I will find something I love and don't buy it because my wedding is so far away and then go dress shopping a lot later and hate everything and can't get the first dress I tried on because it's an older style. I'm so neurotic!

I don't think so! But even if you did find one and didn't get it now - I'm sure there would be others that you would love if not more!
I would be afraid I would get something and then find another one I like better!

I am scared I am not going to find 'THE DRESS'...I look at so many magazines and look alot online, and I will like alot but it just isn't THE one.

Yeah, that's my fear too. Maybe I've watched too many sappy movies, but I'm totally expecting to have a frustrating day trying on dresses, and then be ready to leave and have the saleslady say, 'but just try this one before you go!', and I'll put it on and my mom will start crying, and I won't want to take it off, and yadda yadda. Is this a bit unrealistic? I'm really afraid that I'll try on a bunch and think, 'yeah, 2 or 3 of them were pretty nice' and in the end have to choose one that I think is just 'nice' and not tear-worthy. But I guess that's one of the reasons to have such a long engagement - give ourselves more time to find exactly what we want?

HAHA I am expecting that moment too, and hopefully we will both get that. I think we will definitely find it, just gonna have to search ALOT. Lets hope, but I am going to stay positive

Hmmm well they say it takes 9 months to a year after you buy your dress to actually get it. So you do have some time but if you love it then get it now.

thats true the consultant said it takes 8-10 months for the dress to come in! so i think i will wait- maybe around april or may i will order it

Yeah if you're not in a hurry and there is no problem with being able to purchase it then, such as it being available, i guess ask the lady.

I bought y dress in November ... The wedding is'nt until 2/08 ! i am afraid I will change my mind by then. ( I got a really good deal from David's bridal)

some place in the city, highlight studio I think, they carry a maggie sottero dress I like and the bridal garden and probably lilettes because I hear such great thing about them. I'm just trying to find a style that looks good on me because I really think I'm going to end up having the dress made for me. Where are you looking?

Not sure yet really My parents live across the street from Commack Wedding Center so i'm sure i'll go check it out - I was hoping to wear my sister's dress because i love it and could never afford it - but i will never fit into it!!! I'd have to lose about 25 pounds
