whenever I see the Dawn commercial where they save the mama penguin from the oil spill so she can be with her crying baby penguin?
OMFG I love that commercial (but hate it cause DH gives me the 'you're goofy' look).
And soon Christmas commercials will be out, which all make me cry

me too. He always tells people I love animals but hate people. Which isn't so far from the truth based on the sheer number of annoying, irritating people in the world.

I just love happy endings, even if it is for a commercial!!
I also like the Chase card commercial. The one where you see them get married, and then she's PG, and then they have a son, and at the end you see them grow old together. It's so sweet thinking about the future and our own happy ending.
Mmm, now I want Friendly's ice cream.....

Ditto. My whole family subscribes to this idea. I also cry at anything cartoon, whether cartoon animal or person.

Dawn is da bomb. I only use it for my kitchen soap. Their soap is gentle enough to be used for environmental reasons like oil spills. But they also donated hundreds of gallons of the stuff to clean up a major highway when a tanker truck loaded with some kind of fat or oil or something overturned... I have to find the info and link it.
I also spray all my outside plants with a mixture of Dawn soap and natural Neem oil instead of using pesticides. Haven't had a problem in years.
I haven't seen this commercial, but I'd probably cry too.

I'm right on board. And also Lilo and Stitch. Fox and the Hound is the most tragic story on earth. i will never ever ever watch it again, nor will I subject my future children to it. Just awful.
ETA- Isaw the Lion King on B'way- and I did NOT cry. Not because I knew already about the sad, but because I totally could tell they wer epeople. And there's that.

me too. DH has my number though, so I can't use the 'go to the bathroom', 'I have something in my eye' or the 'try to sniff really quietly' tactics any longer
