I posted this once over the summer...but it keeps happening. I constantly go back and forth about my dress....first I like it then I don't. When I first tried it on, I cried and I loved it...I was so excited...it was the second one I tried on and I tried on a dozen more but thought that one was 'the one'. But after awhile i felt like I didn't look around enough and I feel like my mom pressured me into it because she loved it so much. I don't know what to do...I would like to try on others to hopefully rekindle my love for my dress but I am afraid I'll find something else...and I don't really want to buy another dress! (My mom will kill me and I will end up paying for both!) Does anyone else feel like this? I don't know what to do....
ETA: So I just got back fromBridal Reflections. It was very weird trying on MY WEDDING GOWN!!!! Anyway, you were all right I do like it...I realized while I was standing there in it that although it's not the typical poofy bridey dress...it fits ME. I don't think I could do the ball gown thing although I like to think I could. The dress looks nicer in person than the pics I have so I feel alot better! Thanks so much everyone for all the support! I guess this is just a normal feeling some brides go through! Thanks again!

Re: Am I the only one?
You are not alone! I absolutely loved my dress when I first picked it out. It was like the 5th or 6th dress I tried on and then I tried about 5 more after to make sure it was the one. Plus I had gone shopping like 2 other times before that day. I wanted to walk out of the store with it on, I didnt want to take it off. I was sooo excited when it came in, I rushed to RK Bridal to try it on. I was so disappointed. I don't know why, but I just didnt love it as much. I think I was picturing it differently and I was thrown off when I saw it. Plus it had these deep wrinkles in it. I felt so sad. I know it is a beautiful dress, but I too wonder if I picked too soon. But, I have to say some of my friends have had the same feeling, and they look so amazing in their dresses. I think it may have to do something with the fact that it is so final, and the fear I will see something better and cant do anything about it, since buying a new dress is not an option. I think it is a normal feeling to doubt your dress a little, because we want everything to be so perfect. But I am sure some will say they never doubted their dress. There is a reason you loved it so much and cried. I think when the whole package is put together, it will be beautiful. If you're like me, it may just be the finality of it that makes you wonder a little.

I went through the same thing with my gown... I think that a lot of brides second guess their decision. You fell in love with this dress for a reason. Definitely try it on again and pay attention to how you feel in it. YOU have to love it....don't worry about what anyone else thinks. I hope this advice has been helpful. Good Luck!

really.. don't worry about it! It happens with EVERYONE! Especially when they get the dress a while in advance, and have time to think about it, and see all the beautiful new dresses that comeout every seaos. The same exact thing happens with me. One day I HATE my dress, and can't believe I have to wear it, and others I get excited and can't wait to! Sometimes I complain to my friends how I hate it, and EVERYONE replies to me that they went through the same. So ... we are all with you! You'll love it on the wedding day, and you'll look amazing!

Yes, this sort of indecision happens to me alot when I think about FH. But I don't know what to do. I can't just go get another one. Just kidding.
But seriously. Go ahead and try your dress on again. Remember the reasons that you loved it. Picture yourself walking down the aisle in it, and picture your FH's face. You'll get excited and start to feel better, trust me.
HOWEVER, if you are really, truly unhappy with the dress, don't force yourself to wear that one. You only get to do this once, be happy, follow your heart.

Have you watched the show Bridezilla? Well, you are not alone! This one bride loved her dress at first then hated it, the dress maker also made her rehearsal dinner dress. At the last minute the bride had her wedding dress cut to a skirt for the rehearsal and had a new wedding dress made that fashioned the rehearsal dress!! So honey don't you fret, no matter what there is always another alternative!!

Nope, you're not alone. I like my dress a lot, some days I even love it, but I don't think that it was necessarily THE ONE. But in the end, I figure FH is enough of THE ONE for that day - if my dress isn't, I'll survive.

Re: Am I the only one?
This happens to me but mostly because the sample dress at the store gets more raggedy everytime I see it. My dress will be in in January so we will see how it goes then!

This happens to me too - and I love my dress to pieces, but I just got it so quickly and I see everyones dresses and they are so pretty, but then if I just go back to the store and see it, I feel the same way all over again - and you will too! I cant WAIT till it comes in! Now you got me all excited again!

Re: Am I the only one?
This happened to me too. I really loved the dress when I first saw it (one someone else and, of course, she was a size 0 so it looked great on her). I put a deposit on the dress and kept having second thoughts. I called my bridal salon and they said I could transfer my deposit to another dress. I ended up getting the first dress I'd originally tried on months ago!
If they haven't actually ordered the dress for you yet, I think you could do something about it. It also can't hurt to try on some more dresses just to make sure
