Am I the only one who bought UGLY stamps?

I am cutting it close and have to send out my invitations in a few days (expected back from the printer by the end of the week). I ran to the post office and all they had was ugly stamps in 60 cent denominations.Its a silly pcture of a man avaiation pioneer. Oh well, who saves the envelopes anyway, right?

The new Love stamps are out in 60 cents because my FI got them the other day. But if it makes you feel any better they aren't very nice. They are in bold colors. You can probably order them online.

No, mine were so ridiculous was hilarious. I needed an 83 cent stamp and this is all they had...

I went to this little one by my job in Lake Success. I think people are going to laugh when they see them. They're so goofy looking.

too funny Danielle. I thought my mossy rock stamps were funny.

They tried to give me Andy Warhol stamps for my response cards. Just his big face similar to yours. Went with flags instead.

I just bought the .60 LOVE stamps too. I really didn't like them (but I didn't care too much) and even the lady in the post office thought they were ugly. But my mom liked them.
No one really looks at the stamp anyway (except all us who are planning weddings :)

These are too funny, no offense...they offered me Houdini ones for the response cards (like hi, please help me ESCAPE from this wedding...)

We all have to laugh at them, they are only a stamp!!!

Oh my! Are those your stamps? Can someone find the picture of my stamps and post it? Its the Eddie Rickenbacker aviation pioneer. I think mine takes the cake!

I didn't get the Houdini ones, I chose the flag stamp on my responses instead. My outer stamp was the Arcadia National Park, which wasn't too bad. I thought it would be even funnier if I just did Looney Tunes or something, LOL!

Omg, those Andy Warhol ones are a riot. I think it's funny how much time we spend on the invites and then have to end up using these hideous stamps. It really didn't bother me though since there's no sense it getting upset about things I can't control. FH said it looks like Edna has gas.

Those are hysterical. I went with the classic flag stamp. They tried to sell me on the 9/11 Memorial ones...but they were huge compared to my response card. I wouldn't have minded making the extra donation, but they looked ridiculous.

My main stamp was the grand canyon. Believe me, I was upset about...but now that they're out...I don't care.

Laugh it off and send them out however you can! You'll feel better when the responses come back...trust me!

Danielle, it does look like Edna has gas. Jimmy called me during his lunch break and I told him about the hideous stamps I bought. He didn't care at all. I think this will be one of those things we laugh about through the years. Try to save one to put in an album so we can always look back for a laugh!

What I want to know is who at the Post Office decided on these stamps? Agh! Gag me. Why don't they make cute ones anymore?

What happened to the puppy dog or hearts or something?

Probably a man made these decisions.

I hope so nice ones come out by May, when I plan to mail mine out.

Stacez, I think I have the same stamps as you. Flags on the response card and the rocks with moss (maybe the Grand Canyon) on the outside.

I told my FI that if people criticize our stamp they have no lives. It is a stamp! But do you know people are asking my why I didn't get the loves ones...they make it like I made this huge mistake....It is a stamp! I can't believe how serious some people take it. Gotta Laugh!

Everyone throws out the envelopes anyway after the wedding except for our parents. I think its funny and we can laugh about it for years and years.
