you're not the only one. I hate that stuff. it was funny when the whole concept was invented in the early 90's.... anyone remember 'the jerky boys'? now it's just dumb and way overplayed.

I can't stand them either - they're all the same and I think they're kind of mean. I would be really angry if someone did that to me....why embarass someon eyou love on the radio?

But I think it all stems from my hatred of Z100 actually......

I hate them, as I hate most practical jokes.

Same here! It makes me sooo uncomfortable to see people humiliated for a laugh (I can't stand Punk'd and the like).

some of them are SO mean - there was one where they pretended to be the paint store and said his paint was contaminated with lead. So the poor guy is freaking out cause his 'kids were playing in the newly painted room' and he is trying to scrape it off the walls.

Just mean.

I think it preys on people who are willing to be nice, which is something that we should encourage, not punish

I personally hate crank calls, especialy the ones where a person is pretending to be in need of some real help...I think it is awful

I agree--- it's so mean & the plj ones are just stupid.

Sometimes they replay them at 9:30 am & I turn down the volume at work. I no longer lsiten to WPlJat home.

Thank goodness I finally found a local station that doesn't have a morning show!

My gulity pleasure is Howard Stern in the morning - and once he's gone - I dont' know what I'm going to do...I dont' want to pay for radio, when there's a ton of free stations out there...but I can't find a good one that isn't annoying

I hate them too. I am constantly flipping around on the stations to simply find MUSIC to listen to on the way to work. I have started listening to JACK only because I don't have to listen to a DJ/morning crew blathering on and on and on......

I believe the War of the Roses is scripted. They follow the same pattern all the time.

And could you really be that creative on a card on the spot??

But I am a fan of Scott and Todd in the morning. Todd is sooo funny.

They do this one thing on the radio here where they place two different orders at two different chinese take-out restaurants and put them both on hold. Then when the person goes to confirm the order back to the 'customer' they actually put the two restaurants on the phone with one another - they get so confused, and it's soooo mean! There's also an aspect of racism in there that makes me uncomfortable too.
