am i the only one who feels this way ..

I didn't cy when I tried on 'the one'. My wedding gene ebbs and flows... sometimes I can't contain my excitement and want to plan plan plan, but other times I forget that I'm even planning a wedding. You're not crazy, don't worry!

ETA: I think it's fine that you don't have the feeling of wanting to be a princess that day... you're probably just focused on the fact that whether you're a princess or not, you're marrying the man of your dreams....

I think a lot fo girls aren't wanting to feel like a 'princess' on her 'day'. I know I won't cry over a dress and I know I don't want pouf or a tiara.

You are not alone.

Your not crazy...I have my days when all I think about is the wedding and then there are days I wont even give it a second thought...Dont worry as it gets closer you'll feel diff or thats what I've been told..

I am the same way. Sometimes I wanna plan all the time and others I am like eeehhh It can wait.

i always planned this dream wedding in my head but now that we are actually PLANNING it - somehow the gabillions of dollars and appts with vendors DEFINITELY took all the 'romance' out of wedding planning for me - i didnt cry when i got my dress but i loved it, and then two minutes later it was kind of ruined for me bc my mom had to 'get down to business' and pay for it. . .

sometimes it feels like more of a business deal than anything with all these contracts and stuff - hopefully all of that will fall away as the day gets closer! which is why i want to get the planning over with asap!

actually i DID cry when i got my dress but only bc my mom didnt want me to buy it that day and i was so annoyed with dress shopping i didnt even want to THINK about coming back again, lol

agree! At first when looking through magazine i wanted really plain dresses and my mom said they didnt look like a bride would wear them and blah blah blah. But now as i look through magazine i am starting to like the details and want the ruffles.

I think the excitment will only grow as you get closer to your day, but as for missing the gene.. everyone is different and you have to make the day the way you want it.. dont feel like you arent going to be the typical bride. because like you said everything is going to be the way you want it.

I feel the same way...I didnt cry over my dress which I thought I would...and I dont want to feel like a princess...I just want to have a good time...since I got engaged I am more excited about what will happen after the wedding...like living together and buying our first house...things like that
