Yesturday I almost panicked that they would attack when we were down.

yes and no. I heard on the radio it wasnt, then when FI called me and said that he was told we are in a state of emergency and for security he had to work OT I thought it was.

I did@!! I couldnt get in touch with any of my family and all I knew was that the power was from canada down I was shaking for a good 20 minutes.

As soon as I saw all the traffic lights out and heard what was going on on the radio I immediately thought it was terrorists. Yesterday brought back horrible memories of friends & family trapped in the city......I think NY handled it really well though!

I still think it is. There were people in Iraq on TV saying that they havent had power since Saddam, and that America is ruining thier way of life. The military captured some big Al-Quada guy. The power goes off an hour after that was announced. Coincidence? I dont think so. They would never say if it was really terrorists. We were crippled. Our phones didnt work, our food spoiled, our traffic lights being out cost people lives, no power=no internet, no communications. I dont think they planned to do anything during that time in the way of a direct attack, but who knows what kind of distraction that 24 hours allowed them to plan or do.

You are right, you cant worry about it every day. It could happen anytime, anywhere. We have been told about a few incidents that were foiled, but I am sure there were plenty more that were stopped that we dont even know about. We just continue to live our lives, not let them live them for us.

I began to think that water was the next thing to go I was pretty worried
I just stinks that if there are terrorists here that they actually see that we are still terrified of them

The first report I heard that power was out in the Northeast and it was foul play. I get nervous because I had no radio and I didn't have enough water.
