Am I the Only Person on here not having

A shower or bachelorette party?

I try not to let it get to me, then when I hear about someone else having theirs I get a little upset.

Then I stay off the site for a while and then feel bad about being away....

For the most part, I'm ok with it, I really am, but I just can't think about it... if I do, then a get a lil depressed....

I feel like I'm the only person who is not going to get these things.

Am I????

I'm only having a bachelorette party because my sister, who is my maid of honor, lives in Michigan. Attending my friend's bridal shower made me a little sad that I'm not having one, but I got over it. I wouldn't worry about it. There's no rule saying that you have to have a shower and bachelorette party. Your wedding will be just as perfect whether you do or don't. That's the party that counts anyway

I have no family here and really, not many friends.

My family doesn't have a lot of money and they are already spending for plane tickets, hotel rooms, dresses and tuxes and the list goes on. There is no way I could ask them to come twice.

I've only been up here for 3 years. The only bridesmaid I have in the area is FSIL and she is not at all the type of person to throw a shower.

I know it's not going to happen, no way, no how.

Im very sorry to hear that.. I would probably be a bit upset too because i have attended so many other showers and stuff of friends and family.

The only reason I am having a shower is because my mom is planning it. I don't have any plans for a Bachelorette party as my best friend and MOH lives in CA and I have always had a tough time with girlfriends ! Ugh!!!! You could always try to get a bunch of LIW girls together to go out and party!

I am in the same boat the only reason I am having a shower is because my mom is throwing it, and I dont even know about the bachlorette party.

I am not having a bach. party, I dont want one actually. Unfortunately, every one I have been too has ended in diasaster with girls winding up in hospital b/c they drank to much, or in friendships ending and inevitably fights over the limo.
I have decided I am taking my MOH and my best friend for massages and then dinner and movie at my house.

i am having a shower but no bachelorette party
fh's family and friends are thowing the shower... but no one will be in town for a bachelorette party. i am new to li and most bm's are from out of state!

i am sorry you are feeling sad about this!! i think i am going to do something for myself though.. like go get a massage etc as a bachelorette thingy to myself though

I don't think I am having a Bachlorette party either. I am having a shower but this is only b.c of my mom. Don't feel bad about this. Just think the most important thing is you'll be marrying your FH!
