Am I too late to order BM dresses?

Am I too late to order BM dresses?

Help! I just realized that I have only six months to the wedding and I haven't ordered bridesmaid dresses yet!

Will I have enough time? My MOH and I found a dress we really like, but I haven't gotten all the girls to sign off on it yet.

Please reassure me that it won't be a disaster!

Well I'm not ordering my dresses until January just because of Christmas and all. HTH.

Ok, I would strongly suggest that you go this weekend. We're getting married 6/7/08, and I was informed that my girls can't order any later than 12/1 or they will not recieve them in time, since overseas closes for American Winter Holiday as well as Chinese New Years...

I'm sure you can get them, you may have to pay add fees to RUSH them, but it will all work out. I still havn't booked flowers or transportation, it will all get done. There are those that plan a wedding in 6 months

Probably should go asap. I would make this the next priority item on your to do list. I was also told to order bm dresses 6 months in advance, It won't be a disaster. Don't worry. You can always put a rush on the orders so that gives you a little more time to play with.

i'd start going soon, depending on the style and designer it could take about 11-16 weeks for them to come in, and then the add't fittings.

You should be fine... I worked in a bridal shop and they say to order them 6 months before just to be sure, but most (depending on the designer) come in with 3-4 months, sometimes sooner... You should be fine but go ASAP! Good Luck!

nope i am ordering mine by the 15th we are ordering some tomorrow and some the 15th...they will be in BY mid april

You definitly shouldn't panic, but you should start looking and decide very soon. I ordered my dresses 5 months before the wedding, although I had picked them months earlier. One of my bridemaids kept putting off ordering, and they won't send the order through until all the girls place their order. They came in within a month, but it depends on the store and the manufacturer of the gowns.

hi date twin!!

my BMs are getting measured 12/15 and we were told that would be enough time w/o having to worry.

i would do it asap, but don't worry, i don't think it's too late at all.

the last of my girls are being fitted this tuesday, and we will be ordering them all then. They said I will be fine...so if i am, you will be too!

Same here...I was told as long as I order them by christmas...and I'm a month before you.

it totally depends on the dress you want.
I wouldn't panic yet because there are plenty of awesome dresses that you can get in the amount of time you have left.
Also, some places can get BM dresses quicker than others even if it's the same designer so take that into account.

not to mention David's Bridal has a ton of great BM dresses that you can buy with little to no notice at all.
