On Wednesday I went to FHs baseball game. He is the catcher. In the second game the pitcher threw a crappy ball and FH went to catch it. As he leaned in the batter swung back to hit I don't what cuz the pitch $ucked and hit him instead with a metal bat!! Anyway FH was on the floor holding his now bleeding head. I went in the ambulance with him and stayed up with him the whole night at the hospital and at home. thank god he is ok, but he still won't wear a mask. I told him if he doesn't wear one I won't go to the games because I don't want to see him get hurt. Anyway, now he won't talk to me because I won't go to the game. Do you think this is wrong?

I would want my FH to wear a mask as well. I would tell him that it wasn't fun watching him get hurt and you don't want to see that happen again so until he wears a mask you really don't want to go to the games. Let him know you aren't tryin to be a b*tch , but you can't stand seeing him get hurt again.

that;s just dumb....all major league catchers wear masks and they are no less tough men with them on. Tell him he should want to stay in once piece for you!

Men are so dumb! I am a catcher and I always wear a mask. He won't be happy until he's holding his nose in his hand. Don't go to the games and if he dosen't want to talk to you- fine. Maybe you won't feel like cooking dinner or doing the laundry. Too bad for him!

you are definatly right! You took a stand and thats great! He should definatly wear a mask, he could get seriously hurt if he doesnt. He's lucky nothing happened this time!

It's dangerous to not wear a mask. I have seen people have their teeth knocked out and stitches from not wearing masks (I used to manage for my HS baseball team years ago.). I would definitely want him to wear a mask.

wow, that's all you did and he's upset?! i would tell my FH that HE'S not allowed to go to the games until he wears a mask let alone me... and he got upset with you when you said you wouldn't go unless he wore one? wow-- i mean, you are just trying to show you care about him.
stand your ground-- he should wear a mask. is it worth it to get brain damage or killed for a softball game?? i hope it works out!!!!

You're not wrong at all! My FH likes to go play paintball occasionally and after seeing the bruises on him after the first time he played, I bought him some protective gear and made him wear it. I told him if he's gonna have any bruises on him it's gonna be from me! You put your foot down because you care, so I say stick with it!
