Am I Wrong for Asking This? *sigh* kind of long.....
Some of you may remember that my MOH was trying to throw me bridal shower in a nail salon and only invite about 10 to 12 people. Well I spoke to her about it and told her to use the very nice and elegant social room in my apt. complex. It is a very nice room, something similar to a huge sunroom with a huge kitchen, a movie room, and a huge social room with couches and comfortable chairs with matching tables. Plus its FREE! Just need to get some catering, which should be cheap because there are a couple of nice restaurants close by.
Well, i guess that didn't sit well with her because she came back to me a couple of days ago snd said that she knows someone in a restaurant that can help her rent it out for the bridal shower. Well today she calls me and tells me that she would like to book it for 4:30 to 6:30pm and only 20 people can come. So I went ahead and checked my list of close women friends and family members and they are 30 people. So i told her that i don't think it is right invite to only invite 20 people and not invite the other 10. And we can not go over our time slot. So it wil have to be only two hours. So she said that this fits her budget. But she doesn't have to pay an arm and leg for this either. If she use the cheapest option, which is using the social room.
I am really glad that I told her to keep me informed of the shower because she would had a lot of people upset with me about the timing and not inviting certain important people.
I am really trying to find every other way to say it, but i want a lot of gifts. To me that is the whole point of a shower and mingle with my girls and family members. I just don't understand why she doesn't see that after so many times explaining it to her. I should be grateful that she is throwing me anything but i really don't see the point of her eliminating my guests like that. What do you think?
