Am I wrong? I really don't think I am....(vent, long-ish)
So tomorrow we have a MAJOR meeting at the venue. Because my family is out of town we end up doing things in bulk almost whenever my mom is in town. So since she is in town we are going to do our menu selection, finalize our per person cost, see all 3 of our CP mock-ups, choose linens and approve the final proof of the invite. Big, right? We booked this meeting AGES ago. FH knew. His mom knew.
(Let me add that FH works at a family business that is just him, his parents and his cousin and a bunch of workers). So last week FMIL says that FFIL booked a dr appt that morning to geta colonoscopy. Not a big deal, except that became how now FH can't come to the meeting because someone needs to be at the office (they don;t trust his cousin alone for a couple hours). I'm really upset. FH says 'its the only meeting I'll miss' but its the BIGGEST meeting! I'm taking off work, my mom is only in town for so often.
Not only do I want him there to help choose BUT my mom and FMIL often disagree with eachother AND me and I NEED his support there. I said to him if its really that big a deal to leave the cousin alone than I would rather FH come to the meeting and his mom stays back and he was like no she needs to be involved and be there.
So I sent him this message just now:
i'm telling you this once and i wont say anything about it from now on because its your decision and you need to decide what you think is best
this is a big meeting, with both our moms there who have different opinions than each other and me
i need you there, i need us to be a team
it is important to me
and his response was 'what time, how long' (which he KNOWS because i've been talking about it for weeks) so i tell him hopefully an hour-hour and a half and he goes 'and thats it right, not more?'
argh i'm just frustrated now that I feel like the bad guy for saying i need him there and if he comes and it runs long he will be looking at his watch all the time
ok if you read all this you deserve a medal and a cookie and thank you
UPDATE: FH just says to me 'ok i'll come but if it drags on i may leave at 11'
