So, My girls and I ordered their dresses the end of July. They said 4 months. When December came, I said...Ok...Anyday!! :) I have 4 cousins who all go away to school- so I was really excited to have them all home so we can go do this one day they are here..
so i waited.
Wednesday I had a nightmare- (yes, i am psycho!) That SINCE I didnt call, they gave away the dresses.
So, I called Thursday- They called me back to tell me that they are in, and have been in.
Um... Was I suppose to know this through my 3rd eye?
I was peeved.
Am I wrong?
I am over it now-- and will go check them out tomorrow.

NO ONE called me to tell me my BM dresses were in
NO ONE called me to tell me my FG dresses were in
EVEN BETTER after i found out my dresses were in I didnt tell my girls bc they were supposed to get a postcard about it, when they didnt - i called back and they said that there was a note next to the order saying that they didnt have to bc they already spoke to the bride
so i had to go around and make sure everyone went!
eta: by the way sorry if it came out snotty but i waited for years to 'get the call' not 'MAKE THE CALL' LOL

I kinda got messed up as well - I ordered shoes and they said they would be in the store in 10 days- that was 11/25/07.
I called today since I was home at the time that they were open (they are closed Tues, Wed, and Thurs)... my shoes have been in for almost a week!
They did however apologize about not calling me but I am going to complain (since they said they called which is BS) about not getting the call.
It stinks to have to go through something like that

I think so places get so overwhelmed they can't help but screw things up. For example....
I order my dress, two days later I get a 'courtesy call' asking if I made a decision on my dress. I tell them I ordered my dress. I get 'Oh yes, yes I see that...sorry.'
I go to pick up my dress, 4 HOURS late I get a 'courtesy call', 'Have you made a final decision on your dress?' I tell them yes, and it's in my parents house as we speak cause I picked it up from your store 4 hours ago. 'Oh yes, yes I see that...sorry.'
My BM's order their dress, I get a call after they've told me the dresses are in and picked up....'Hi, do you know when your other BM plans on ordering her dress?' I tell them my BM's have already ordered and picked up their dresses. And what do they tell me, 'Oh yes, yes I see that...sorry.'
FH was ready to go down their and clean house!!!!!!!!
But to answer the question, no you aren't wrong. The bride is never wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! You are not wrong at all! I would be pissed as well... Thats not right... I hope this stuff doesnt happen to me!!! Shouldnt they call the BMs though? OIII this is what I have to look forward to!

you aren't wrong- they should have called that happened to me with my wedding dress I actually went to the store w/ my bms to purchase their gowns & the bridal consultant saw me & said 'by the way your gown is in' wasn't really her fault but the other department who handles that never called me- i was a bit bothered I am over it now

Thats great!! It is annoying they didn't call you, but the most important thing is that they fit and you are happy!
