American Cancer Society

Did anyone use in lieu of favors?

If so, how much you spend?

If you go on their website it will tell you if you donate a certain amt that they will give you scrolls.

i donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation and purchased $1 bracelets for everyone as my donation favor.

I didn't do the American Cancer Society but I did do a donation to St. Jude's Hospital. We gave $2 a person we had about 200 people at the wedding. Then we also researched what the different colors of the cancer bracelets meant. Since lavender was my color for the wedding we bought each guest a bracelet and 25% of the cost went to the American Cancer Society. We attached the bracelet to a card that explained the donation.

i plan on dontaing to both the American Cancer society and to St Judes. the American Cancer society did not speicfy how much to donate but i figured i do $2 per couple. Also i asked St. Jude how much cause i told them that we were also dontating to the American Cancer society and that me and FH were on a budget but we also wanted to make sure we dontate the apporpriate amount so they told me 'The donation is a donation, but to cover the cost of the paper and ink
we would like to have at least 50 cents per copy'

so figure i would also give them 2 per couple cause wer are only giving on bookmark/ scroll stating that we dontate per couple. (we are also doing some edible favors and cds) HTH
