American express changed their milage requirements 4 days ago from 30,000 miles to 35,000 to go to Hawaii. Now I can't can't my 2 free tickets anymore for our honeymoon

That is so unfair. They just changed the requirements 4 days ago without any notice. I just called them and said that it's so unfair because I stopped charging things for my wedding two months ago thinking that I already had the miles and she told me that they just changed it and they don't have to let us know. We were ready to get our free tickets to Hawaii this month! I worked so hard to get my 60,000 miles and now I did all that for nothing. I can't believe they screwed us over like that.

Those credit card flyer miles can be so ridiculous...I don't even bother with them... I have flyer miles to go to aruba for 1 ticket but...it isn't totally worth it to try and get 2. There is always a catch with them.

Ask to speak to a supervisor. Maybe (s)he can do something for you. Or, threaten to cancel the card. Maybe that would help...

can you buy miles? It mihgt be cheaper than buying the ticket...

oh my that really stinks - try talking to a superviors and tell her what the tickets are for - maybe she will bend the rules if you do it right away

can you buy the extra miles that you would need? i wouldn't let the entire 60,000 go to waste. definitely ask to speak to a supervisor - sometimes when they know you are booking a HM, they can be a little nicer.
