FH's cousin is having an engagement party but we can't attend. they came to our engagement party and gave us a check ($175). Do we give them the same amount of money they gave us even though we are not attending?
thats a tough call..i would maybe do the same amount..but if they are more well off then you or they know that you have to save for a wedding maybe do 150..but i would probably give the same amount
I would do the same amount also even if you aren't going. Its a hard decision but I think that is what I would do.

Not that there's anything wrong with giving money, most couples want that anyway. But I figured this way it's not like you are just exchanging the same amount of money back and forth since you are both engaged.
I probably would give the same amount..depending on how close to them you are!!
I would say the same...you don't want to worry about I should of's down the line.
