WOW! I am shocked and I don't even watch the show. I catch it here and there but not on a regular basis. I always thought Melinda was going to win.

ME TOO!!! I thought it HAD to be her and Jordin....but judging from the word around school, Blake was it. The kids love him. Melinda is too old fashioned. GRRRR

I don't know if I can watch...if it's another Taylor Hicks year, I really can't watch this ever again.

Yeah but just look what Taylor Hicks did after he won - absolutely nothing. And that other girl (what the heck is her name) got a recording contract and is on the radio. Same with Daughtry. This is not the last of Melinda. Besides, she might be better off not winning since the winner is obligated to American Idol for a year. Now she can do whatever she wants.

So upsetting!!!! I loved Melinda! I really thought she was going to win!!!

I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!! I wanted to punch my tv just now! this is a joke that Melinda is not in the final 2. Like Tara said, all the kids must be voting for Blake. I hope Melinda comes out with an awesome record and everyone buys it!!

i know its late but i am ...Blake who????? i cant believe America did that, this is like deja vu for me when they voted off Jennifer Hudson now(not that i don't love Fantasia, but it should have been Fantasia & Jennifer in the finale) look real talent is gonna soar, America wants her to be their sweetheart...ok vent over...

You're not the only one either!

I wasn't surprised at all when Melinda was the one sent home. She has a terrific voice, but doesn't have much of a personality. I think as far as what American Idol is looking for--a person with lots of personality and marketability and fits the 'pop' mold--both Blake and Jordin fit.

Melinda will do well though--she's better off not winning and being tied down the AI contract.-

Melinda has a much better voice than Blake, but I think it is just too old fashioned.

I like Jordin!!

I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT EITHER MELINDA SHOULD HAVE GONE ALL THE WAY. I LOVED HER AND I VOTED FOR HER. BLAKE ANNOYS ME SO I GUESS NOW I MUST VOTE FOR JORDON.
