im going to probably be an outcast on this one but I truly feel sorry for her. think about it, she was a naive 16 year old girl that was mislead and strung along by a sick perverted man that was cheating on his wife. his own wife was the one that wrote to the judge/court asking them to let her be set free.

Re: Amy Fisher on Oprah
she does look good. Is this a repeat? I thought she had the baby already. It sounds like she does regret what she did.

Seriously...could some fat, nasty mechanic convince you to sleep with him and then also convince you to shoot his wife?
So gross!

I don't in any way condone her shooting Mary Jo, but she definitely had issues (she was an escort for crying out loud!) and I think Joey took advantage of those.

exactly... at that age you are very impressionable. she didnt get any love from home, like Oprah said. We can all think and know what a slimeball Joey is, but when you are 16 and in need of serious help, you will probably believe anything anyone tells u.

Re: Amy Fisher on Oprah
I actually only saw the last 20 minutes of the show. I have been a big fan of Amy's column in Long Island Press for a few years now. She was a child who was seduced by a grown man who should have known better. She completely admits to not knowing better. I do not condone what she did by shooting Mary Jo, but she paid for what she did. Not only did she serve her time in prison, she made something of herself by getting a job and becoming a responsible adult. She now has 2 children whom she seems to care for deeply. I am impressed by what she made out of her life which lets admit, must be a helluva lot harder than we could ever imagine.

Re: Amy Fisher on Oprah
I saw that episode when it first aired. I must admit I did feel bad for her too. When you're young, outside pressure can sway you to do things in the name of love. I am in no way condoning what she did, I just understand how someone could be mentally contolled by someone who supposedly loves you.
