An exciting day!
So went to 4 RHs today (threw in the Riverview at the last minute). Think we've made our decision, but going to 2 more places on Tuesday just for the heck of it. When FH, my SIL my mom and I all walked out of the one place, there was a collective 'wow' when we got into the truck. FH fell in absolute love with the place and said he'll try to keep an open mind on Tuesday but he is pretty much set on this place. One of the places came in a very close second, but didn't have everything that we were looking for. 2 of the places we visited were IMMEDIATELY crossed off the list. At the one place it felt like we were bothering the salesperson. I just didn't click with her personality and I was honestly uncomfortable around her. The 2nd place was just TACKY and actually smelled funny.....but honestly the biggest turn off was the fact that the guy we met with started badmouthing another location we mentioned and told us to 'look out for that guy'. Being in sales, I know you just don't do that. For me, that is one of the biggest turnoffs a salesperson can do.
Was just such an awesome and exciting day. Really felt engaged. Even better, my parents said they'll take care of the deposit, 50% of the cost of the reception hall and will send us to Disney for the first leg of our honeymoon!!! I was floored. (going on the 2nd leg of our honeymoon, a cruise, that following October and we're paying for that). FH is going to speak with his father this coming weekend about paying for the photographer, DJ and officiant. Keep your fingers crossed for me on that one.
2 years is going to take a lifetime!
