If you found a highly valuable item, with the contact info for its owner attached, would you
1-keep it for yourself 2-leave it where you found it 3-return it to the owner 4-other
I'm just curious what others would have done in this situation.
(If you answered #4, can you state what you would have done?)

I am a pathetically honest person and i would return the item to its rightful owner... I have been extremely lucky...losing MANY items including my purse in NYC and have had people return it to me so i have to return the kindness

Okay, honestly? #2...I have a good heart but I'm really really really lazy...
I had a very forgetful roommate...who constantly lost things...and she had ultimate luck with people returning things to her...its amazing how good you can make someone feel...and that makes you feel good...

Its a PDA. I just remember what agony my DH went through when his was stolen, which is why I called the guy right away to let him know it was safe and he could have it back.

I'd return it.
I lose stuff all the time and have been so lucky that others have been honest. Once I lost my wallet w/$300 in it, and someone kindly returned it!

Once, I found a wallet in Roosevelt Field Mall...I mailed it to the address on the driver's license. A few weeks later, I received a thank-you card...it was so sweet...makes you feel good.

I would return it to the owner. I would think how that person would feel not having it and how happy I would make them to return it.

ok... if there were a question of whether to keep it or not..
i think a pda is kinda personal, with all your info in it, so i would hope everyone would return it...
if it were something else, less personal, like a rolex watch or something, i would still return it, but i could see how some people may be tempted to keep it...

I would have to return it. I would feel guilty knowing I didn't return when I obviously knew who the item belonged to.
