I know UW has a local gathering soon, but I don't really post as much there as I do on this website. I thought maybe if there was interest we could do a get together and meet up for dinner or something. What do you guys think? It would be nice to meet everyone who has helped so much! :-) Just a thought!
I would love to do this too. The UW gathering is tomorrow. We have one every 4-5 months. It is so much fun to met and share ideas.

For the UW get together we usually meet someone in Nassua County. I work in NYC and the last thing I want to do is go into the City on a day-off, the commute is a total killer. I think a Sunday brunch is a great idea. Let's pick a Sunday in late May, that gives everyone plenty of time to schedule it. There are plenty of places in Nassua we could met. Usually near a Mall or other well know place makes it easier for everyone to find. Suggestions? Comments?
I think it is a great idea. I agree with Michele about meeting in Nassau though. It's easier then commuting to the city.
There are several places in Nassau that have Sunday Brunches....but we can go anywhere.
Harpers in New Hyde Park has a great brunch buffet-so does Patty McGees in Island Park. (I think it's around 15.00, tho)
There's a place in Westbury at the Source Mall (next door to Fortunoffs) that just opened..Shish Kabob...they have a sunday brunch buffet for 10.00!
Never ate the brunch there-but dinner last week was great.
As for friday night places-Don Juan's (mexican restaurant) in Westbury on Old Counrty Road has a great happy hour with a FREE dinner buffet after 5:00.

let's pick a date in May like Michele suggested. I know that Mother's Day is the 11th - so that's out, and the 18th, I'll be away for my bachelorette party! :-) Is the 25th good? I know it's Memorial day weekend, so I don't know how that works into everyone's schedule. Or how about the first weekend in May. What are your schedules like?
All the place suggestions are great with me - I'm close to all! Plus, I would rather leave the city then stay as well! :-)

Shish Kabob (Westbury at The Source) has a breakfast buffet for $9.95.....(cheepest buffet brunch price I could find) If that's what would be best for every one....
Just let me know who's interested and I'll book it.
