Re: AN IFY SITUATION..I NEED HELP
i think that is the biggest honor-you are just sharing it with your friend and your sister.
Can you have your sister walk down in front of you and your friend before her?

I think how you have it is fine. Tell your mother, and whoever else, that two heads are better than one. Just explain that there are a lot of responsibilities in being in a BP and you just want to make it as easy on EVERYONE as possible. If the two of them can work together tan things will run much more smoothly.

Re: AN IFY SITUATION..I NEED HELP
Everyone is always going to want to put their opinions in. Your best friend and your sister both know that they are a big part of your life and both understand that what each of them mean to you. That is why you chose to have a maid of honor and a matron of honor. Many people do this now - for the same reason.
I would find out if it is these other people just giving their opinions or if your sister or your best friend is uncomfortable about it. Good Luck - I wouldn't worry about it. It is your wedding and you get to choose whatever you want to make your day special and if that means the 2 of them - than that is the way it will be.

I think it is fine, maybe you could give her a special sister gift at the RD to make her feel special.

I think it's fine. I was my sister's maid of honor and her friend was her matron of honor. It's great to honor both of them!

Re: AN IFY SITUATION..I NEED HELP
I had a Matron of Honor and a Man of Honor. If there are 2 people that have made such an impact in your life it seems ridiculous to choose between them when you don't have to. I am sure that both your friend and sister are honored to be playing such huge roles in your wedding. Plus, they have someone to share the workload with while planning.

Re: AN IFY SITUATION..I NEED HELP
i'm doing the same thing.. my sister and my best friend are both my maids of honor.. except by then my sister will be married so technically she's my matron and my best friend is my maid.
either way, they both were honored. my best friend will just walk out first and then my sister and then me.
