An update on my friend who was having seizures....

I told you all the other day that my friend was in the hospital having seizures and they didn't know why.
Well, she has been released from the hospital and it turns out she has epliepsy.....she's probably had it for some time, but never knew. Apparently, she has minor seizures (barely noticeable) in her sleep - 6 the other night in the hosiptal - and could have been having them since she was 12....
They took an MRI and monitored her brain...there was a slight chance that there was an abnormality on her brain, but turns out there isn't...so no brain surgery for her!

But, she's staying at her parent's house for now and is on medication...and she's in better spirits.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!!

I'm glad she doesn't need surgery. Hopefully the medication will work well for her.

the best part about the medication is that she will be able to go back in 2 years and they will gradually take her off of it. and if she has no seizures....then she's set.
i assumed once on medication for this, she'd be on it for life!

but now, how guilty do i feel that i was her college roommate for 4 years, and i never noticed her having a seizure in her sleep?!?!
