An update on us with Pics

Although I'm on the boards often enough, I thought I'd post an update on me & Luke.

ME: I'm 17 weeks along in the pregnancy. In general I feel really good. The m/s passed awhile back but I've been getting some bad headaches the past day or so. Today it was horrid, I had such a bad one, I felt nauseous. I'm glad my DH was home to help out with Lukie.

I had my amnio last Thursday. All went well, I took it easy for a couple days, they say no lifting over 15 lbs. I felt silly not lifting Luke, like I was an invalid but I didn't because...God forbid...I just listened and took it easy. I get the results back next Monday or Tuesday. I am totally optimistic that we will have an 'everything's fine' conversation with the OB. Then he will ask if I want to know the gender and it will KILL ME but I will say no. I was really glad I waited with Luke so I'm trying to assuage my 'instant gratification' gene by keeping the moment of Luke's birth in mind. LOL I gained 2 lbs in the last month but I am officially down 3 lbs from the beginning of the pregnancy, which, believe me, is not so bad. I gained 38lbs with Luke so I have been hoping to gain less this time. I don't have any cravings for sweets thank goodness.

LUKE: He went to the doctor last week and he is 26 1/4 lbs (75th percentile), 34 inches tall (90th percentile). He had 2 shots which he took like a champ as usual. She said to start trying to wean him off the binky which we are trying. He's always been easily adaptable so I'm not sweating it. He's been doing pretty good but I still give it to him occasionally at night but he's gone some nights without it. He's been off it during the day for awhile. Like I said, no biggie. As you can see from my new avatar pic, he's as happy as ever. Talking up a storm, climbing like a maniac, amazing us every day. Really just a great kid!

So all is well here. Here are a few new pics, I don't think I go a day without taking his picture, I hope I give #2 the same treatment.


He was lying on the floor and I was fluffing his comforter up in the air above him, which he loves (can you tell?) What a great life that simple things like that produce smiles like these:
