I had to do that for a few people because I could not figure out how to spell their bf/fh last name and they didn't have fb. It was only for e-party though. For the wedding I would have done the research.
I felt a little bad and mentioned it to one of my friends and she was like 'Joe has 13 letters in his last name, sometimes I get them confused too' LOL

FH just got a save the date for a wedding he's a groomsman in (so obviously we're pretty close w/the couple) and it was addressed to 'FH and guest'
i was pretty annoyed, but the funny thing is that when we went to their wedding website -the address of which was on the STD- they included my name in FH's bio (to say 'FH lives in NYC with his Fiance, Nikki')

IMO: He had every right to be offended and you be disappointed. Since, you are engaged, it should have said his name on it. I have been in that situation before and it has offended me.

That is annoying!! FHs cousins boyfriend and her have been dating since before us, they live together, but I didn't know his last name for the STD, and he doesn't have FB. So i put Kim Lastname + Mike, cause i didnt want to leave him out. But for the invite??? Yeah uhhh facebook or call you and ask.

He was like umm I know her name, we've been engaged for over a year and I'm 'and guest', she couldn't even look on facebook?
I see so many girls on here worrying about proper etiquette and pleasing everyone so I don't want to judge but I was disappointed

yeah I'm totally chalking it up to being excited and busy. They only got engaged like 2 weeks ago and their e-party is now 3 weeks away, I have no idea what wedding plans they already have thought about, but I can't judge, I'll probably make a few etiquette mistakes myself!
