and it starts...

and it starts...

My mom is going to drive me crazy with this dress stuff.

So... i've said from day 1 i didn't want to look for a dress yet cuz i had plenty of time and i'm the type of person to change my mond 100 times!

However, i went 2 weeks ago to try dresses on for the first time and saw one that i really liked that i'd be fine wearing but it was my first time. I also don't know if i should be 'fine' wearing a dress.. i should want to wear it all the time right?

So i made another appt for thurs at bridal reflections to look. Fine

So my mom just called and said pronovias is having a sample sale june 27th and to make an appt so i can see if i can get a dress there.

So i said, 'Mom.. i've said from the beginning i dont want to buy a dress till AT LEAST sept! I have tons of time!!!!! '

I understand she's trying to be helpful and is very excited... i do.. it's just a pain in the butt!!!!

about the dress: just 'fine to wear' isn't what ur suppose to be feeling. ur suppose to be very excited to wear it. I didnt think its possible but thats was the feeling i got. it was an amazing feeling. all brides should have this feeling.

ur mom: let ur mom be a mom. just tell her over and over that u dont want to, and after a while they get the point. thats how I deal w/my mom and God knows she had a PHD in being annoying

I am in the same boat. I found a dress that I love, but I am not sure if it's THE ONE. We both have plenty of time so I think it's smart to take your time and just make sure you look at all options. If you keep on coming back to that dress, then you know you should wear it on your wedding day. Your mom is probably really excited but agreed, you're the one that needs to be comfortable with the purchase. It's the most important piece of clothing you will ever buy!

Yeah I have to agree with the previous post. I know I don't feel 'fine' in mine I feel exstatic in mine. So I think it is a good idea you keep looking. You might realize that the one you liked origianally is the one, and it's good you reassure yourself

Mom's are moms. Hate to say it but grin and bare it. She is only excited for you. Tell her you don't want to order it and don't! She will get the point.

My mom is the same way. EVERY day she asks when we're going dress shopping. But I've realized that she's just really excited, so i'm $ucking it up and just letting her be excited.

I feel like there's 2392193912392 other annoyances that are worse, so I'm just focusing on dealing with them!

i agree you should wait but you can look - you should love your dress though!

I think you shouldn't buy a dress until you feel comfortable doing so and not until you find a dress that you know is 'the dress'. As for your mom, I would go with her here and there to look (as you never know what you'll find) but just keep telling her that you don't want to order it yet until your sure.
