and just got some bad news
so one of my really good friends just told me they can't come to the wedding... they live in NC (FH proposed there while we were visiting them, they helped set up the proposal and everything) I had asked her to be a BM, she said yes, but then once their son was born she stepped out.
well their son might need surgery (not sure yet) and basically this is how it would work:
doctors appointment on a thursday.. if yes to surgery he goes for blood work on friday.. recheck monday.. surgery wednesday.
um.. my wedding being the saturday after blood work.
so they won't know until thursday, they can't book a flight and stuff for friday afternoon then leave sunday.. its just too much for them, plus the surgery is expensive.
I just really wanted them there, but I totally understand. I mean its their son... its surgery, its not like they can't come because the car needs an inspection. it just really hurts (esp because my mother is going to pull the whole 'i told you so' bullshiit when she finds out)
WHY can't anything with this wedding be easy or go right!?
eta- the baby is fine, as much as i want to say the surgery is no big deal... i can't. like its a minor surgery, lets just say that. his parents are fine with the idea of surgery, they want it sooner rather than later so the problem will be fixed before he can remember anything. but thanks for your thoughts.... we're kinda praying that there's a cancellation so his surgery will be earlier and they'll be able to make it up here. (her words, not mine.. I just want him to be okay)
