When I began my journey here on liweddings lets see, 2 and half years ago, lol My countdown started at 886 days! When I tell you I felt like this day would never come. I remember crying because I wanted it to be a year earlier, but we just couldn't afford it in that amount of time. I felt like 'it was so far away' that's all I heard forever..Well there definitely reasons why it happened the way it did, it was meant to wait. I can honestly now say that I am glad we took the extra year. Less stress financially (more time to save), and being together 4 years, living together 2 years, I am so relaxed and just excited because I know he is the man I am supposed to be with. Also more time to find all these little extras that only us in the 'liweddings world' know about: Channa plaque, personalized memorial and unity candles, bouquet charms, monogram cake topper, blinged out everything, I could go on forever..lol
Booking our wedding on a Thurdsay, we had gotten alot of comments, and didn't want to tell people because the one's who weren't even invited seemed to have the most problem. After seeing what went on with my shower and E-Party RSVP's, that I had come to terms with 'who ever wants to be there will be there'. I barely thought we would even come close to our guarantee of 125..Well we are very blessed and hit 140. There were your few that you do for them all the time, and now you get to see who you matter to that said no. Not to be spiteful, but you really see who you will stop going out of your way for. Out of 184 people, 44 no's is not bad if you ask me lol The point of all this is, everyone should do what is best for you, your FH and families because in the end its for all of you, no one else. People will be there no matter what day of the week, month of the year, weather, etc if they really want to.
I think I babbled enough lol but also need to say a big thank you to Kim, Ron and Liz for creating this great site that not only was so helpful to me in all of the planning process, but for the fun events. The Vineyard trip, and TWOTY and some of our own G2G's are things that I will never forget and have made some good friendships from them. Especially Jamie, Heather, Jackie, Kedra and Kerri. I am so honored to have you at our wedding. You all know the journey that I have been on up until this day because you've experienced it with me, so having you there will be that much more meaningful. Michelle/Gawf, talk about going on a journey together, you have seen Frankie and I got through it all and having you as not only a guest, but our bridesmaid is such an honor to the both of us. Thank you for your constant love support, for your help tracking down anything I couldn't find but wanted and you made sure I got it!! You truly are an amazing person. Love you so much, and I can't wait to be your bridesmaid in less than 4 months!!!
Tonight was our rehearsal and dinner and it was all so nice I cannot wait for the wedding even more now!!! I have alot of last minute pickups and appts tomorrow, yay dress pick up!! lol But I'll try to stop on here and there. I just wanted to make sure I got this all out now while I had time as my countdown says:
